Glutes

Curtsy Lunge

Intermediate Dumbbell Compound Glutes

How to do it

  1. Stand tall with a dumbbell in each hand.

  2. Step one foot back and across behind your standing leg.

  3. Lower your back knee toward the floor while keeping your torso upright.

  4. Push through the front foot to return, then switch sides.

Common mistakes

  • Letting the front knee cave inward.

  • Rotating the hips so it becomes a regular lunge.

Tips

  • Hits the side of the glutes better than a regular lunge.

  • Log the weight per dumbbell in the app.
