Beginner Bodyweight Isolation Abs

How to do it

  1. Lie on a decline bench with your feet locked under the pads.

  2. Place your hands on your chest or beside your head.

  3. Curl your upper body toward your knees by contracting your abs.

  4. Lower slowly until your back almost touches the bench.

Common mistakes

  • Pulling on the head with your hands.

  • Dropping fast and bouncing.

Tips

  • Hug a plate to your chest to add load.

  • The steeper the bench, the harder it gets.
