Triceps

Dumbbell Skull Crusher

Beginner Dumbbell Isolation Triceps

How to do it

  1. Lie on a flat bench with two dumbbells straight above your shoulders, palms facing each other.

  2. Bend your elbows to lower the dumbbells beside your head.

  3. Keep your upper arms still and pointing up.

  4. Straighten your elbows to press back up.

Common mistakes

  • Flaring the elbows out.

  • Moving the upper arms so it turns into a press.

Tips

  • Easier on the elbows than the barbell version because the wrists can rotate.

  • Log the weight per dumbbell in the app.
