Neck
How to do it
-
Lie face up on a bench with your head hanging just past the edge.
-
Place a folded towel on your forehead and hold a light plate on top with both hands.
-
Lower your head slowly until you feel the neck lengthen.
-
Curl your chin toward your chest until the neck is fully flexed, then pause briefly.
Common mistakes
-
Going too heavy so the movement jerks — the neck gets injured by jerking more than by load.
-
Holding your breath through the set, which spikes pressure in your head.
Tips
-
Start with no added weight at all for a week or two.
-
Keep reps high: 15-20 per set with a slow tempo.
