Quads

Sled Push

Beginner Other Compound Quads

How to do it

  1. Grip the sled poles with straight or slightly bent arms, leaning forward.

  2. Drive with short, quick steps, pressing through the balls of your feet.

  3. Keep your back flat and eyes forward for the whole distance.

Common mistakes

  • Standing too upright so the force does not go into the sled.

  • Overstriding and losing power.

Tips

  • Log the distance (metres) as reps and the total load as weight.

  • There is no lowering phase, so soreness is minimal — great for conditioning.
