Calves

Tibialis Raise

Beginner Bodyweight Isolation Calves

How to do it

  1. Lean your back against a wall with your feet about one step away.

  2. Keeping your heels down, lift your toes as high as you can toward your shins.

  3. Lower slowly without touching down.

Common mistakes

  • Feet too close to the wall, making it too easy.

  • Half reps without full range.

Tips

  • Trains the muscle on the front of the shin — good for knees, running, and preventing shin splints.

  • High reps of 15-25.
