Abs

Mountain Climber

Beginner Bodyweight Compound Abs

How to do it

  1. Start in a push-up position with hands directly under your shoulders.

  2. Brace your core so your body is straight from head to heels.

  3. Drive one knee toward your chest without letting your hips pop up.

  4. Return the foot to the start and switch legs.

  5. Keep alternating at a steady pace for the target time.

Common mistakes

  • Hips piking up every time a knee comes in.

  • Shoulders drifting far forward past the hands.

  • Moving so fast that form falls apart.

Tips

  • Great as a warm-up or a short cardio finisher.

  • Nail the stable plank first, speed comes second.
